Meet and Greet
Can be handy.For the first time this year (2008), the University will have a ‘meet and
greet service’ for new international students arriving at Heathrow airport and
at Gloucester Green bus station in Oxford. What this means is that student
and/or staff representatives from the University will be at Heathrow airport on
certain set dates to meet you on arrival and then direct you to the public bus
service to Oxford. Also, when you arrive at the Gloucester Green bus station in
Oxford, there will be student representatives there, too, to help you get a
taxi to your college and accommodation.
This pilot service is provisionally scheduled to run on the following dates this year between the hours of 8am and 8pm:
- 27 September, Saturday
- 28 September, Sunday
- 29 September, Monday
- 4 October, Saturday
- 5 October, Sunday

If you are unable to arrive on these dates or if you arrive at an airport other than Heathrow, please don't worry. Public bus services run from all London airports, and you should be able to travel to Oxford conveniently and safely.
